Direct Canberra flights return to Coffs Harbour
Link Airways will resume direct Coffs Harbour to Canberra flights on Thursday 10 September 2026. The service runs through spring and summer, giving Coffs Coast travellers a seasonal link to the national capital.
It operates twice weekly, on Sundays and Thursdays. Flight 257 arrives at Coffs Harbour Airport at 1:10pm and flight 258 departs at 1:40pm. Flying time is just over 90 minutes. Because the service is direct, passengers avoid connecting through Sydney or Brisbane, which for most itineraries saves several hours each way.
Coffs Harbour Airport Chief Executive Officer Craig Shaw said the route filled a real gap in the schedule.
“Canberra is a market our region has done well out of before. Business travellers heading to the capital, and Canberrans coming north for a week in the sun,” Mr Shaw said.
“What makes the difference is that it’s direct. Ninety minutes, twice a week, no connection to worry about. That changes the calculation for a lot of people who would otherwise drive it or not go at all.”
Heading south, the route opens up the capital’s galleries, national institutions and spring events calendar. Coming the other way, it puts the Coffs Coast beaches, hinterland and national parks within easy reach of Canberra.
The season also covers the Christmas and January school holidays, the busiest weeks of the year on the Coffs Coast. Seats on the Sunday services are likely to go early.
Link Airways operates the route with full cabin service on board, including hot and cold drinks and snacks.

On 1 June 2021, the operations and management of Coffs Harbour Airport was transferred from City of Coffs Harbour to Palisade Investment Partners under a long-term lease. The 50-year lease (with a 49-year option) sees the establishment of a private company, Coffs Harbour Airport Pty Ltd.
